IN many countries, the problems about calculating are approach to be a big complexion in these days. For example in Japan, they had a conscious problem with mathematic calculation.
I used to heard that teachers are hitting the student because they did not do they home work, But in this cased It way difference from what I ever heard about teaching system. According to the news said, Japan education system has been under qualification for a long time, yet more than 50 percentage of the high school student in Japan were failed in the examination test which is most similar to the middle school test. The percent of student who dose the correct answer is seemed to me low in every year.
For my last analysis, In Thailand we are all having the same problems such as calculating the geometry and algebra. Indeed Asia teachers are the one who makes the picture of the country looked really low because of the tests are too hard and complicated than the example in the book. The numbers of the answer mostly are irrational answer which makes it harder than it should be. For instance, the division problem should have rational number so the student will be assure about their answer but if it not the irrational number most students will assume the is the wrong answer meanwhile that is the correct answer
